Classification of Animals Reptiles Amphibians Bird Insect Fish Mammals

Mammals Mammals of you probably like warm ,soft and cuddly animals such as the hamsters. These animals belong to a group known as mammals.

Birds Birds are easily identified by the feathers on their bodies. They are the only animals with feathers. All birds have a beak, Two wings and two legs.

Fishes All fishes live in water. Some live in freshwater. Some live in saltwater. All fishes have fins to help them breathe. Fishes cannot live out of water for long.

Insects Insects can be easily identified by the number of legs they have. Only insects have six legs.

Reptiles All animals have to eat to stay alive. Animal feed on other living things.
