OUR NEW MISSION We are a community of business people and professionals committed to living out Christian values and being change agents in the marketplace. We accomplish this through a process of on-going personal conversion, a commitment to professional excellence, community and nation building, practice of justice and integrity, and responsible care for all entrusted to us.

OUR NEW VISION

Bringing Christ to the Marketplace Businessmen are the instruments of Christ in the marketplace; BCBP, ergo, has to evangelize businessmen and professionals; Evangelize thru breakfasts, BCLP, Formation programs; Integration into a community; Witnessing in the marketplace.

Winning the Marketplace for Christ Involves a spiritual warfare, a clash of culture; To win the marketplace means a change in the value system of business; Needs men and women of influence, with decision-making powers; business people who occupy positions of responsibility who can bring about the desired change in culture; Target – preferably 30 -40 yrs old; not retirees; not rank and file; executives/entrepreneurs /professionals over 40 yrs. w/ influence.

ELEMENTS OF OUR BCBP MISSION

1. WE ARE A COMMUNITY Community of Business people and professionals who will look out for each other; It is communal in nature – strength in community; Common way of life, same vision and mission, same values, Christ-centric; A wealth and diversity of talents, skills, resources. Experiences, wisdom, network

2. COMMITMENT TO CHRISTIAN VALUES Committed to Christ and his values; Individual and Communal; Openly profess this commitment to Christ in everything we do personally and communally; Life of integrity.

3. BE CHANGE AGENTS IN THE MARKETPLACE BCBP is missionary, not a refuge from the world, not a comfort zone; not an oasis; BCBP members are an apostolic body; Our purpose is to bring about change in values and business practices both as an individual and in the companies we work for. We are change agents.

4. AS CHANGE AGENTS, WE COMMIT TO THE FOLLOWING: On-going personal conversion; Professional Excellence as a Businessman and Professional; Practice of Justice and Integrity; Community Building; Nation Building; Responsible Care and Love for members of the BCBP Community.

PRIDE IN BEING A MEMBER OF THE BCBP AND BE A MAGNET IN SUMMARY … ALL OF US MUST TAKE PRIDE IN BEING A MEMBER OF THE BCBP AND BE A MAGNET FOR CHRIST.

2 Tim 1:6-8, 13-14 : “Beloved, I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power & love & self-control. So do not be ashamed of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God. Take as your norm the sound words that you have heard from me in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Guard this rich trust with the help of the Holy Spirit that dwells within me.
