FUNCTION KEY MENU KEY USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH KEYPAD FOR VARIOUS FUNCTIONS USED TO ACCESS PROGRAMMING FEATURES

FUNCTION KEY + LOCK SYMBOL KEYPAD LOCK POWER KEY – PRESS AND HOLD TO TURN ON/OFF

TO TURN A GROUP ON OR OFF, HOLD IN THE FUNCTION BUTTON WHILE PRESSING THE NUMBER KEY FOR THE DESIRED GROUP SCANNING IN I.D. SCAN MODE. THE NUMBER “6” IS BLANKED WHICH SHOWS WHICH GROUP THE I.D. IS IN.

I.D. IN SYSTEM NUMBER ONE I.D. IN GROUP NUMBER SIX PRESS THE HOLD KEY TO STOP SCANNING ON AN ACTIVE CHANNEL TO RESUME SCANNING PRESS THE HOLD KEY AGAIN

PRESSING THE SCAN BUTTON AGAIN WILL PUT IT BACK IN I.D. SCAN MODE WHEN SCANNING, THE SCAN BUTTON WILL SWITCH FROM I.D. SCAN TO I.D.SEARCH PRESSING THE SCAN BUTTON AGAIN WILL PUT IT BACK IN I.D. SCAN MODE

QUITE OFTEN YOU WILL HEAR I.D.’S YOU DON’T WANT (LIKE CTRAN BUS) THE L/O BUTTON WILL LOCKOUT AN UNWANTED CHANNEL I.D. IN BOTH SEARCH AND SCAN MODE

SYSTEM 2 IS THE SIMPLEX MODE (NON-TRUNKING) THERE ARE 10 GROUPS OF 20 FREQUENCIES AVAILABLE

HERE IT HAS STOPPED ON THE MAYDAY CHANNEL. YOU CAN SEE THE DISPLAY SHOWING THAT SYSTEM TWO IS SCANNED.

UNLESS WHEN IN SCAN, AS SOON AS THE CHANNEL QUIETS, IT WILL RESUME SCANNING UNLESS PRESSING THE HOLD KEY WILL STOP THE SCAN ON THE CHANNEL IN USE

HERE IT SHOWS THAT 3 SYSTEMS ARE BEING SCANNED WHILE IN SCAN MODE PRESSING ANY NUMBER KEY WILL TURN ON/OFF THE CORRESPONDING SYSTEM

SYSTEMS THERE ARE 4 SYSTEMS PROGRAMMED INTO THE SCANNERS AT THE PRESENT TIME. SYSTEM 1 IS CRESA: THERE ARE 10 GROUPS PROGRAMMED THE FOLLOWING SLIDE SHOWS THE GROUPS SYSTEM 2 IS SIMPLEX: ONLY TWO GROUPS AND 3 CHANNELS PROGRAMMED TWO SIMPLEX, AND MAYDAY SYSTEM 3 IS PORTLAND: THERE ARE 2 GROUPS AND ABOUT 40 I.D. CODES. GROUP 1 IS FIRE GROUP 2 IS POLICE SYSTEM 4 IS NOAA WEATHER – ALL CHANNELS
