By 2003, ALL large companies, 60% of medium sized companies, 2z0% of small companies will source resumes/jobs via the web By 2005, 95% of all employment will be posted on the internet Currently a $1.5B industry, by 2005 it’ll be $5B Increased Speed of Hiring Cycles Traditionally 90 days -- NOW 30 days! NETWORK! NETWORK! Vertically specific sites (SHRM, IEEE, etc.) Corporate web sites (Ben & Jerry’s, PWC, etc.) Giant career management hubs (Monster, HotJobs, etc.)

Closer To Home (The 1,000 foot view) Use Every Resource Available: Career Center NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK! The Internet is waiting----jump right in! Think entrepreneurial (if you can’t find it, start it!) Be Active … Be Passive … Be Alert Ask lots of questions Be honest with yourself and with your potential employer It’s NEVER “just a job”
