Icebreaker: Card Stories What is the most rewarding volunteer experience you’ve ever had and why? If you could design and run your own service project, what would it be? What are your dream outcomes? Describe your ideal community and share why. What elements of this vision can be achieved through volunteerism? When have you felt most inspired and why? What do you do to have fun?

Day of Event Command Center Project coordinators should call in before heading to project sites “Lost” volunteers can call and get directions Command center should have information on every project, a city map, and a few “stand by” volunteers Day of Service Attendance Form

The “After Party” The Planning & Logistics committee is responsible for planning the Day of Service celebration Responsibilities include banners, staging, contingency plans, parking & security, food & beverage, facilities, emergency plans

Point of Entry Days of Service can provide a pathway to future volunteering with your organization The Planning & Logistics committee ensures that “point of entry” components are incorporated throughout the event
