Severed illusions- anymore Niamh and Caitlin

Who are they? Severed illusions are a local Nu metal band from Trowbridge consisting of 5 members Cas – Vocals Charlie- Guitar Dan- Guitar Drums ? Ant- Bass They already have a following in Wiltshire and were recently voted to play along side a band they have admired for a long time in Bristol.

The Song The song we are doing is an original by them called ‘Anymore’ the song is about losing your way in life and feeling trapped which we really want to show the message and meaning in the video that they have tried to portray in their song. We plan to use the newest member of the band as the main ”Character” as we think it would be a good way to introduce him to the audience they already have. We plan to follow him throughout the video while he is feeling lost and trapped and the band comes to “save” him as he joins the band and they perform together

Audience feedback We created a survey which we now can’t log into because life is just mean like that, but what we have seen and read and remember, The audience feedback on our concept and ideas had good feedback from the audience research and a lot felt as though portraying that message of feeling trapped is good, and also we found out a lot of people thought it was quite relatable as well so we are confident that using this concept will be well received by audiences.

Content and Style For the music video we plan to really show the message and story of the song however we don’t want to make it too cheesy as that could change the current image that the band have already built for themselves so when we edit we want to make it look quite heavy and dark however we don’t want to create an aggressive stereotypical metal look as that’s been done and we don’t want them to fade into the background, with our edit we want to make them stand out and have their video different to every other band that their audience have seen.

Production requirements As Caitlin and I know how to use the kit we need we will not need any more crew members, the kit we will need is Xa25 Tripod 1set of lights As for locations we are still working on as most of the locations we want to use are outside so we have to be careful of the weather, we do have an idea to use the assembly hall in Melksham however that make get expensive and we don’t know if we can afford it Costume - they are going to be wearing their ’uniform’ they have made for themselves which are overalls with the Severed logo on them The only cast members we need are the band members.

Legal requirements Legally we don’t have to worry about anything as we have permission from the band to use their music and their logo as it’s for them so there is no copyright issues there Locations are not branded and we will not make any money from the video so we don’t have to worry about royalties to locations. We just need to be careful about possible brands that are not part of our production that will show up in the background of our shots so we would have to keep a look out and be careful so we don’t have any copyright problems
