Reference for WMO Members and other service providers Forcing agent for satellite agencies – 2025 too short horizon Set framework for future systems deployment, development and integration Opportunities and options to underpin future services development Congress has tasked CBS to develop a “Vision for WIGOS in 2040”, to be adopted by the 18th Congress in 2019 Space-based Vision 2040, advanced Surface-based Vision 2040, early stages - different challenges, application, set directions, less specificity Target is one WIGOS Vision, bringing representing integrated approach to future system/obs planning and support for service delivery
