Presentation transcript:

Paul is first found speaking and preaching to his fellow Jews Paul is first found speaking and preaching to his fellow Jews. The synagogue was still the central place of worship and culture for Jews who were not in Jerusalem. There were many Jews in Corinth due to their all being exiled from Rome.

Aquilla and Priscilla are one of the most important couples of Scripture. They housed Paul in this season of ministry at Corinth and became missionaries themselves whom he trusted greatly.

Sometimes we get discouraged speaking to those we expect to understand readily. Paul was ready to give up, but God reassures Him with two promises: God is with him. God will protect him.

Each promise rests in a reality that God was aware of, but that Paul was not. He felt alone and in danger, but God was invisibly working around Paul and it’s through other people that God comforts him.

Why were Aquila and Priscilla in Corinth Why were Aquila and Priscilla in Corinth? God’s picture of the world is larger than ours; when we wait to understand or operate only by what we see we can overlook His grace and faithfulness.
