Reading and Language Arts DOL quiz –Friday Literature Logs Novel Guided Reading Specific Writing Assignments pertaining to standards

Social Studies Every day for 30 min. Social Studies Weekly -quizzes on Friday Online website for Social Studies Weekly Homework is EXTRA CREDIT-sent on Monday & due Friday

Math Guided Math Math Review daily Xtra Math & Front Row Consumable Textbook Problem Solving Journal focus on showing your work using models, equations, & explanations Math Review quizzes- Friday Homework is EXTRA CREDIT-sent on Monday & due Friday

New Math Standards TN Academic Math Standards Reviewed by committees of teachers and approved by The TN Board of Education. Kept some standards, moved some to different grades, and wrote new standards that need to be included for coherence and rigor. Conceptual- why or how it works and proving it through a strategy Procedural- get the correct answer in the most efficient way Fluency- know and applying your math facts to help you problem solve

Snack & Lunch No snacks containing peanuts!! They may have peanut butter in lunch. Wash hands before and after lunch. Peanut free table Please give notice if you would like to send a special treat for your child’s Birthday. It must have an ingredient list (store bought). Friday reward-lunch in the room (electronics allowed)

Track Rules Stay in designated area (away from road) Tennis shoes required (no cleats) No leaving without permission No tackle sports May bring personal equipment if approved Stay off of and away from rocks and sticks ***If raining please bring change of clothes or shoes***
