Web 2.0 Technologies – Social Media Social networking sites such as Facebook/LinkedIn can be used as follows: The leisure centre can use these sites to keep existing members up to date with class timetables and fitness tips. Members can ‘like’ and ‘share’ pages to promote the centre to their friends and family, which is a cheap form of advertising. Prospective members can be informed of special offers to encourage them to join the centre.
