Why are we here, why are we doing this? To . . . Benefit our students and ourselves Improve our teaching and learning Improve our institution’s overall effectiveness

Why are we here, why are we doing this? To promote campus dialogue about student learning For quality improvement

Learning . . . is not just the acquisition of knowledge, it is the way knowledge produces changes in behavior. SLOs/PLOs/ILOs focus on what students will be able to do.

Expected Outcomes Engage in dialog about Participants will   Engage in dialog about Meaningful assessments What has been learned from them How the results have been used to improve student learning. Analyze course assessment results and assess several (PLOs)   Use the SLO online system to record PLO assessments
