Presentation transcript:

Mr. Arcuri’s Newsletter Dec. 14 – Dec. 18 The Game Plan We are almost at Winter Break! The students will be bringing home their tri-fold display boards this week. These boards will be used for the student’s STEM Projects. On Friday, we will have a Winter Celebration and the students will have the opportunity to watch The Polar Express in class. I will be sending home 2 Discovery Education Probes for the students to practice over Winter Break. This is not homework but it is practice. Let’s have a great week! What We’re Practicing: ELA: We will continue working on our decoding skills through our eighteenth spelling words list (-ice digraphs). We will continue improving our reading comprehension skills, as well as compare and contrast exercises. Writing: We will begin editing and revising our favorite writing piece for publishing. Math: We will continue working with Time (5 minute intervals) and Money (up to $1.00) Science: We will continue working with States of Matter. Social Studies: We will continue Native American History. e Please remember that our classroom is a Peanut-Free Classroom. As a result, no snacks or birthday treats containing peanuts should be brought into the classroom! @ Rachel Thorp 2013
