The next unit supports children in drafting feature articles collecting research and citing evidence from these sources to strengthen their pieces. Students will continue conferring with teachers, partners and in small groups. Reading w/Ms. Cumella and Mrs. D’Auria: We will be completing Unit 1 and beginning Unit 2: Tackling Complex Text. This unit is a non fiction unit requiring students to apply reading strategies to tackle complex text. Students will engage in an independent research projects requiring them to question and analyze an authors perspective, determine relationships between two or more texts and write about their topic.
