Project History – HUD Approval HUD application first submitted June 2007 HUD rejected: required plan to show additional assistance City submitted revised plan Result of a 3-year collaborative effort Final plan included Centennial Place project HUD approved February 2011 HUD and NPS approved City’s application for transfer July 2012. Collaborative effort over three years with City's Housing Department, Abode Communities, Union Station Homeless Services, County of Los Angeles, a plan for providing housing assistance for formerly homeless people at Centennial Place was submitted to HUD, thus satisfying the homeless assistance requirements.
