good practice used in my school. Zani Silvia Istituto comprensivo 1 Modena- Italy BEST PRACTICE IN MY SCHOOL I' m a primary school teacher and I would like to tell you a good practice used in my school.

I work in a big school, where there are many classes and all teachers plan special labs activities to enrich the educational offer.

The main characteristic of these workshops is how children are divided and organized into work groups, because we use to open classes for these activities

mixed groups of students different classes During these labs, classes are divided, reorganized and teachers create mixed groups of students of the same age, but they come from different classes

We are used to do drama, music, ICT, art or science experiment, to encourage kids potentials These labs consist of several lessons, from October to May They are attended twice a week

kept by different teachers Each group of students starts attending different workshops, but during the year, groups turn so they can attend all labs kept by different teachers

This work strategy: help cultural and social growth; encourage children, letting them discover different ways of relationship and communication; is an opportunity to socialize and, above all, an opportunity of integration; is a good way to avoid children’s demotivation; is an opportunity for the teachers to know and work with all children. Students wait with pleasure these moments and they are very motivated and excited
