Mrs. Johnson sjohnson@royhart.org Cozy Christmas Party – We will be enjoying a class party on the last day before Christmas break (Dec. 22nd). The children can wear pajamas that day and bring a new, wrapped book ($3 or less) for a gift exchange game. We will be enjoying several holiday themed activities and hot cocoa with candy canes. More detailed information will be sent home next week. Snowflake Shop – The PTA sponsors a holiday gift shop (Dec. 11th -14th) in which students can purchase small gifts for family members. The PTA will be sending home a flyer with more details soon. Please try to limit the number of people your child is buying for, as there are many children who need help and it can get a little crazy! Mitten Tree Drive - Dec. 4th – 15th. We have many families who could use a little help with Christmas this year! If your family would like to help, please send a note giving permission for your child to pick a mitten labeled with a needed item from the tree. Gifts should be purchased and place unwrapped under the tree by Dec. 15th. Writing: We will learn how to write a friendly letter and address an envelope as we prepare a letter to Santa! Math: We will continue with three digit place value activities, addition and subtraction without regrouping, and identifying the correct time to the nearest 5 minutes.
