What has changed? No coursework or controlled assessments All exams are at the end Speaking and Listening does not contribute to the final grade English Language exams are based on unseen material English Literature exams are all closed book Higher level of technical accuracy needed in spelling, punctuation and grammar

What support is there? Revision guides for texts (also available in the Library on short term loans). Year 11 study time Monday after school Revision sessions in run up to exams GCSE Pod AQA Website Past Papers Staff

When should revision start? How much should I do? PPE exams are in November Real exams will start in May It’s never too early to start Active revision between 30 minutes to 45 minutes per topic a night (4 hours a day maximum) Break it down into topics rather than just English. For example 45 minutes revising language features
