The good, the bad, and the ugly Dialectical Journals The good, the bad, and the ugly

The “not-so-good” journals… TOO SHORT: “I like this.” “This is big.” “Electricity!” “What is the curse?” “Why can’t we notice?” “Government doesn’t want them to advance.”

The “not-so-good” journals… SHALLOW or REPETITIVE: “I really like this. It makes me happy to see him falling in love. I think it’s so cute when couples first meet like this.” “This reminds me of what’s happening now with our government. It’s just like what is going on. The government in this book is just like our own government, just maybe a little bit worse.”

The good…

If you got a 3 this time… Make sure it truly is a solid 3. I will be grading harder next time. If you barely got a 3 this time, it might be 2 work next time.

If you got a 2 or 1… You have ONE WEEK to redo or improve. Due Tuesday, 9/20 for A-day. Due Wednesday, 9/21 for B-day. Make sure to include page numbers and metacognitive codes. Also make sure your entries are complete.
