The God of Science Do you agree with Einstein? Can science show us what God is like?

What does science tell us about God? People first started to do science because they believed in God. Their faith told them that God had made the world, and made us humans intelligent enough to try and understand it - so they felt it was their job to investigate the world, so as to give better thanks and praise to God for His wonders. Nature and the way the Universe is made fascinates and amazes scientists more and more today - by its order, simplicity and beauty. Some think it is just luck to have such a beautiful universe. Others think it shows us the glory, and the wisdom, of God. What motivated the first scientists to investigate the world & why? Do you think the discoveries of science can show us the glory of God? Or does science show us there is no God? **Why do you think most scientists do science today? To prove, or disprove God?

The Mathematical Beauty of the Universe Explain 3surprising things about the way the universe is made Are you surprised by it, or would you shrug it off as “Thats just how it is”?

Mysteries of the Universe The Mysteries of Quantum Physics The Mysteries of Life & Evolution The Mysteries of an orderly Universe Fine Tuning – The Mysteries of Perfect Design You and your partner will be given one topic to read about. Prepare a poster about it: Answer the questions Present to the class: is this surprising? Does it help you to believe in God or not really? **Overall, do you think the discoveries of science in this area help you, or don’t help you to believe in God?

What can science tell us about God? Mysteries of Quantum Physics Mysteries of Order in the Universe Mysteries of Life & Evolutoin Mysteries of Fine Tuning Present your findings to the class. Does science tell us about the wonders of God?

How can science suggest that God exists? Choose 2 topics. Discuss how it suggests God exists. (fine tuning, order in Universe, evolution, quantum physics)
