Course learning outcomes Learn to understand basic legal terminology and concepts Learn how to evaluate issues of legal significance in business transactions. Apply legal reasoning to situations and form legal conclusions. Compare and apply various legal theories/interpretations to factual situations.

Course learning outcomes Learn how to issue spot, weigh, and analyze risks, and gain a sense of comfort and familiarity with the legal system.

Course Assessment Attendance, Participation, Homework, Quizzes 30% Mid-term exam 20% Final exam 50%

Exams The two exams (midterm and final exam) will cover lecture material, textbook readings, class discussions, and homework assignments. On the end of each Chapter we will have short quizzes that consist of multiple choice questions.

CLASS RULES Be respectful to each other and to the instructor, to the room, and to all materials. No talking while someone else is talking. Bring all required material to class. No eating or drinking in the classroom. Follow all other University rules.
