Evidence of things unseen Substance - assurance Ground, basis, support “Surety” Evidence of things unseen Proof Never seen heaven But we have the evidence

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thes. 5:21

Prove = put all things to the test Not a matter of probability “Prove” Luke 14:19 - oxen, go to “prove” them Rom. 12:2 - “may prove what is” 1 Tim. 3:10 - “first be proved” 1 John 4:1 - “try the spirits”

30. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31. But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:30-31
