He will not leave you nor forsake you." Deut 31:6 (NKJV) Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. Josh 1:6-7 (NKJV)

Courage: A Characteristic of God’s People Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalms 27:14 (NKJV) Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 1 Cor 16:13 (NKJV)

The Example of Ananias Acts 9:10-22

The Example of Ananias He was ready when called upon (Acts 9:10). Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel answered, "Speak, for Your servant hears." 1 Sam 3:10 (NKJV) Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV) By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. Heb 11:8 (NKJV)

The Example of Ananias He was ready when called upon (Acts 9:10; Cf. 1 Pet. 3:15). His response when confronted with the gravity of the task (Acts 9:11-14; 2 Tim. 1:7; 2 Cor. 5:11). Cf. 1 Ki. 19:1-18; Acts 22:17-21; Jn. 8:59; 10:39;11:53-54

The Example of Ananias He was ready when called upon (Acts 9:10; Cf. 1 Pet. 3:15). His response when confronted with the gravity of the task (Acts 9:11-14; 2 Tim. 1:7; 2 Cor. 5:11). Was receptive to the charge; ready to do whatever was needed (Acts 9:15-18; Prov. 3:5-8). Ezr. 9:2-3; 10:3-4, 44; Jer. 10:23; Matt. 10:37

3:5-8). Because of his courage, great things happened for the kingdom of God (Acts 9:18-22). Acts 9:18; 22:26; 1 Cor. 3:5-7

The Example of Ananias Through studying the example of Ananias, we see the kind of courage that pleases God. We can be patient & discerning, while also being courageous. It takes courage to break away from whatever is keeping us from Christ (Acts 22:3-16).

Acts 22:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (NKJV)
