Upgrading & Installing Prompts for Upgrading

Why Upgrade Functionality As time passes software becomes old, and newer software can provide functionality which the old software can not.

Why Upgrade Bugs Often the company who produced the software will provide upgrades which will remove these bugs. Then the new version of the software would try and remove these problems and place in enhancements

Why Upgrade Company policy As sensible approach for the company would be to regularly upgrade as a matter of course This keeps the company competitive and modern and so in a position to deal with any changes in market or working practice.

Why Upgrade Organisational restructuring Job roles change and departments merge, as a result the requirements of the computer software in those positions change and so new software or upgrades maybe needed

Why Upgrade Problems with existing systems Software outdates and faults can occur as a result This will effect the overall performance of the software system, reports may not print, calculations may be wrong it can also over burden your processor.

Why Upgrade New operating system software As time goes by any new applications software is developed to get the most out of the new operating system This eventually pressurises software users in to having to replace their old operating system with the newer version

Why Upgrade Upgrade paths Often come with software bought by companies In the price of the software or sometimes separately companies are given upgrades every one or two years as part of the software

Why Upgrade New hardware If the company decided that it needed a new piece of hardware this may need more resources and new software to run it.
