Species-based regulation Laws protecting specific species define what is permitted or prohibited for the species involved.

Species-based regulation "Taking" includes: hunting, fishing, killing, catching, poisoning, fishing, harvesting etc.

Species-based regulation Taking protected or endangered species is often entirely prohibited.
