Evidence for the Universe Doppler Effect -For stars, scientists notice red shift of light in stars and of light coming from galaxies *note: red shift does not mean that everything will be red colored; it only means stars’ spectra are moving towards the red end of the spectrum

Evidence for the Universe Cosmic Background Radiation (CMB) -shows traces of energy in early universe which shows beginning have been very, very hot and dense and has cooled down since -if universe is expanding, universe expected to get cooler

Evidence for the Universe Composition of the Universe -in terms of elements, the universe is made of mostly hydrogen (74%) and helium (25%) based on spectral analysis of matter in the universe -helium can only form from hydrogen under certain hot, high pressure conditions
