We will never give up on you Role Models Mr Whiteley We will never give up on you

We will never give up on you What is a role model? A role model or sometimes known as personal hero, can come in different forms, such as family, friends, teachers or celebrities. True role models are those who possess the qualities that we would like to have and those who have affected us in a way that makes us want to be better people, to advocate for ourselves and our goals and take leadership on the issues that we believe in. We often don't recognise our true role models until we have noticed our own personal growth and progress We will never give up on you

Who is your role model? Why are they your role model? Has it always been the same person?

Who are your role models? Defining our role models or our personal hero, is a bit like allowing our diaries to be published. Through our choice of heroes, we reveal our individual values and our heroes represent the best of ourselves, yet being human and therefore flawed, they also allow us to accept our limitations. We will never give up on you

We will never give up on you Our role models Bill Gates Founded one of the biggest companies in the world, Microsoft. Dominated and revolutionised the technology industry. Billionaire (second richest man in the world). Philanthropist (donated more than 30 Billion dollars). Constance Baker Motley Civil rights activist. Lawyer, judge, and state senator. First black student to attend University of Mississippi. Inducted in to the International Women's Hall of Fame. First African American woman to be elected as federal court judge. In 2001, President Bill Clinton awarded her the Presidential Citizens Medal. We will never give up on you

We will never give up on you Our Role models Thomas William Little Fought in World War 2 He spent many years away from his family, through times of extreme hardship, sacrifice and despair. Shared a love of family, sport (particularly rugby) and gardening. “Grandad Little would always encourage me to do well in school and to always try my best, he gave me a love for maths, science and story telling.” Taught people the importance to cherish life and to always look on the bright side and remain positive, even if you find a situation difficult. Sylvester Stallone Resilient person and has overcome many ups and down in his career. He never gave up his passion to sell his first script ‘Rocky’ and for the chance to be the star in his own movie. Sylvester went on to make an entire Rocky series, Rambo series and The Expendables series, earning him millions of dollars at the box office. We will never give up on you

We will never give up on you A time for reflection Form Activity Who could be your role model? What positive qualities does this person have? What do you admire most about them? How have they inspired you? What could you do to be more like your role model? As a form I would like to think about your own role model and who this person(s) could be and what qualities this person has. Answering the questions above, I want you to think further about how you could become a role model to someone. We will never give up on you
