SOCIOLOGY FINAL EXAM Students who have Dr. White for Sociology will take their final exam, Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 7:50 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the 3rd floor by room 308.
Students taking college classes here on campus will take their final exams during their regularly scheduled college class here on campus. If you are enrolled in dual credit classes (Ellis-English 1301, Polanco-Spanish I 1411, Shah-Algebra II, College Algebra 1314) you may not exempt this final exam.
Final Exam Exemptions Guidelines for Creating Final Exams and Exemption Policy The purpose of summative exams are to: Assess what a student knows Assess a student in a way that reflects what they were taught and how it was taught. Proportional to Time Spent on content No Projects for final exams unless approved At the Level of Instruction administered Reasonable Number of Questions for the time allotted Using your Unit Plans for Semester Targeted Number of Questions Blueprint of the Assessment If you are not giving an exam, you must have prior approval. No class parties or movies No Reassessment on Exams
Exemption Policy:
Exemption Sheets Students will receive Exemption Sheets on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Exemption Sheets are due on Friday, December 7, 2018 by 3:00 PM. Teacher must verify attendance, grades and discipline BEFORE signing the Exemption Sheet in the appropriate period slot Students are responsible for turning in their own exemption sheet to their AVID teacher Students MAY NOT exempt Algebra I, Biology, English I, English 2, or US History Everyone gives a final except AVID (AVID put an X in the exam column). A list will be published, by your Team Lead, of which students have chosen to exempt your final. Final Exam Grading If a student exempts your final (or you teach AVID) you must put an X in the exam column. If a student is absent for the final, they should receive an INCOMPLETE. NO FINALS MAY BE GIVEN EARLY. AT ALL. NONE. SERIOUSLY. All final exams must be graded and entered into the gradebook before a teacher can be signed out on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

Stage on the 3rd Floor Students are not allowed to sit on the stage. Please remain off the stage at all times.
DSG (Dedicated Service Graduate) Hours DSG forms information Must complete 120 hrs total including a minimum of 40 hrs for Spring ISD All completed forms must be turned in by the end of every month of any hours done that particular month. Make sure the form is fully completed and signed by sponsor. If one particular service is more than 8 hours , DATES and TIMES for EACH DAY must be listed on the back of the form or it will be returned to student. Make sure you are keeping up with your own hours in case there are any discrepancies. Completed forms are to be placed on black tray in the Media Center by the entrance door. Forms from last school year will not be accepted this current year.
FOOD DELIVERED for students Students this is a reminder that ONLY parents are allowed to deliver a lunch for you at school, and your parents can only bring a lunch for you.
Office procedures If you have lost an item, please check the front office. Items not claimed after two weeks, will be donated. If you find a lost item, please turn it in to the front Students, whenever you are in the clinic or any office in the building and you are late to class, please bring the pass you are given to return to class to the front office, to get an official office pass. This will help greatly with attendance coding. Thank you.

Sack lunches Students if you will be returning on the 1 p.m. bus from Lone Star, please make sure to pick up your sack lunch before leaving to Lone Star. You will not be allowed to pick up a lunch from the cafeteria when you return. Please submit request for lunch by 7:50 a.m. Choices: Ham & Cheese Sand. Turkey & Cheese sand. Student ID card Student MUST wear their ID at ALL times. If students have forgotten their ID, they will need to get a temporary ID from front office for a fee of $1. If student has lost their ID, they must purchase a replacement ID for $5.
