Far Experimental Hall Hutches Scope Design Status/Deliverables Schedule Estimated Construction Cost Present Status Summary As the project is nearing the end of Major construction activities this presentation will provide an overview of our Construction Safety performance and lessons learned. The presentation then address the safety of Technical Systems installation. The presentation will close with plans leading to Operations.

Scope Approximately 6,500sf of new facilities for three Hutches, Control Rooms and Common Rooms Specifications have been developed, are well defined, and present no major challenges As the project is nearing the end of Major construction activities this presentation will provide an overview of our Construction Safety performance and lessons learned. The presentation then address the safety of Technical Systems installation. The presentation will close with plans leading to Operations.

Construction Cost Estimate H4 and H5 Initial 30% AE estimate (Nov 5, 08) at $4.1M includes direct/in-direct cost, and escalation 60% AE estimate (Feb 2, 09) at $3.58M Value Engineering items included Strategy for construction delivery method is consistent with expectations Design → Bid → Build Structural steel package has been released early for bid and erection A cross-check estimate was provided by a GC at $3.1M Same GC successfully completed LCLS Sector 20 and MMF projects 90% AE estimate (Feb 20, 09) at $3.48M Independent Cost Estimate due Mar 23, 09 As the project is nearing the end of Major construction activities this presentation will provide an overview of our Construction Safety performance and lessons learned. Construction Cost Estimate H6 60% AE estimate (Feb 2, 09) at $.77M A cross-check estimate was provided by a GC at $.70M Same GC successfully completed LCLS Sector 20 and MMF projects 90% AE estimate (Feb 20, 09) at $.76M Independent Cost Estimate due Mar 23, 09 Hutch 6 can be constructed in conjunction with H4/H5 without impacting schedule As the project is nearing the end of Major construction activities this presentation will provide an overview of our Construction Safety performance and lessons learned.
