Don’t reserve the room months in advance: leave some space for other clubs too! Each club can use the space around 2 hours per week. Be there, otherwise, cancel the request. Don’t give out the code to too many people. Keep the space clean. Important:

SPONSORSHIP POLICIES: 3 strikes & immediate loss of sponsorship

Immediate Loss of Sponsorship Failing to attend a DAC meeting Failing to participate at designated Haas undergraduate program events Violations of the Campus/ UG office policies, the UC Berkeley Student Code of Conduct, or the Haas Honor Code Hazing Alcohol at events Damaging campus property

PROBATION: Depending on the infraction, clubs can be suspended from applying for DAC the following year as well.

Infractions Failing to respond to DAC emails in a timely fashion Failing to meet deadlines or complete action items as instructed by the DAC chairs Failing to uphold room request policies as specified in the Room Reservations Powerpoint Failing to uphold policies of using the clubroom (C122) Timeline First infraction: warning Second infraction: Warning & meeting with DAC chair Third infraction: Panel hearing, probation period, loss of sponsorship

Additional Notes: Transfer of knowledge is your club’s responsibility “Because sponsorship entails the above uses of campus property as well as approved use of the University and School name, actions of sponsored groups reflect on UC Berkeley and the Haas School of Business. Therefore, sponsored organizations should expect a close advisory relationship with the undergraduate program office. In addition, organizations are not to conduct academic advising sessions or events. In no way may they assert that membership will guarantee or increase chances of admission to the Haas Undergraduate program, as this would be a false statement.” Sponsored groups that offer consulting projects or related services to external clients may not claim to provide services on behalf of the University or the Haas School of Business.
