Do it Now: Subject-Verb in Sentences Identify the subject and verb of each sentence. The bright yellow fish swims swiftly and beautifully. The cute koalas in the trees eat eucalyptus leaves. Jason lost his skateboard. John and David raced cars but drove safely.

Why is this important? The subject and verb will be at the heart of every sentence you write. To be more expressive, you can add descriptive words. Identify the adverbs and adjectives above.
