ANSWERS FLASHBACK: ”Show Don’t Tell” means the writer uses the 5 senses and imagery to write descriptively so the reader gets a picture in their mind. ANSWERS Flashback: Imagery is writing that appeals to our 5 senses and uses vivid language to paint a picture in the reader’s mind. Bell Ringer: The quote could be foreshadowing the fact that someone Mattie loves will come so close to death that she will experience fear of death.
