PSC Updates December 2017 – The PSC published the 2017 Relay Report on its website. March 1, 2018 – New Sprint Relay Contract went into effect. TASA Meeting - April 18, 2018 Florida PSC

State Certification for Telecommunications Relay Service Pleading Cycle Extended DA 17-1074 released November 1, 2017 – Florida’s Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) recertification was filed September 28, 2017, and the FCC assigned it File No. TRS-50-17. DA 18-76 released January 26, 2018 – Notice was filed in the Federal Register on January 24, 2018, clarified that comments were due by February 23, 2018, and reply comments were due by March 12, 2018. Since the October 31st, 2017 TASA Advisory Committee meeting, the FCC has acknowledged Florida’s submission for the recertification of the Telecommunications Relay Service. On January 24, 2018, Public Notice DA 17-1214 was published in the Federal Register and established February 23rd, 2018 as the deadline to file comments, and March 12th, 2018 as the deadline to file reply comments. We’re not aware of any comments regarding Florida’s application. TASA Meeting - April 18, 2018 Florida PSC

Video Relay Service (VRS) Improvements DA 17-1031 released October 19, 2017 – The effective date for the rules that modified information collection requirements was October 17, 2017. DA 17-1068 released October 31, 2017 – Granted CSDVRS, LLC d/b/a ZVRS and Purple Communications, Inc. authorization to participate in the VRS at-home call handling pilot. DA 17-1071 released October 31, 2017 – Pleading Cycle Established for Comments on Petition for Reconsideration of the VRS Rates Order. DA 17-1246 released December 29, 2017 – Notice was given to VRS providers that they must submit registration information for registered VRS users to the Telecommunications Relay Service User Registration Database (TRS-URD) by February 28th, 2018. DA 18-324 extended the deadline to April 30, 2018. On March 23, 2017, the FCC released a Report and Order, Notice of Inquiry, Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, and Order, amended Commission rules to implement an at-home call handling pilot program and to permit VRS providers to assign telephone numbers to hearing individuals for point-to-point video communications. In addition, requirements for information collection were modified.   On October 31, 2017, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau of the FCC granted CSDVRS, LLC d/b/a ZVRS and Purple Communications, Inc. authorization to participate in the VRS at-home call handling pilot. On October 31, 2017, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau set a November 9th, 2017 deadline for comments and reply comments were due on or before November 20th, 2017 On December 29th, 2017, the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau released notice to VRS providers that the Telecommunications Relay Service User Registration Database (TRS-URD) was ready to accept registration information. The deadline to submit registration data for registered users was subsequently extended through April 30th, 2018 TASA Meeting - April 18, 2018 Florida PSC
