Who are we? Small charity based in Blackheath Specialise in Reminiscence Arts and inter-generational projects Beneficiaries - primarily those with dementia and their carers

Dilemma for the trustees… Evidence of impact of intervention on dementia sufferers Project based funding model makes growth difficult Wanted to reach a wider audience and expand Capital needed for investment Loans could put future of charity at risk How can we grow our charity and secure our future? Exploratory away day = decision to look for a potential partnership

Exploring partnership… Received funding from central govt to look at sustainability Teamed up with management consultants to explore options Eastside Primetimers, specialist charity field Surveyed potential partners Discounted some options Set up meetings with small shortlist Home/away Six key tests

Pros and cons… Decided on national charity Community Integrated Care Alignment of values and purpose Separate but equal, helped with due diligence Two-way deal (fund-raising + volunteers/service sharing + potential client) Funding for new joint project Exciting times ahead…
