Easter Bells In France, les oeufs de Pâques (Easter eggs) aren’t brought by the Easter bunny, but by the Easter Bells (les cloches de Pâques) Parents tell children that the church bells leave the cathedrals to go to Rome to visit the Pope on Maundy Thursday, and when they return on Easter they bring eggs and candy back with them. The bells drop these goodies on their way back to church so children have to find them.
