LOTH West POA News – April 2016 Email us at LOTHPOA@YAHOO.COM This month’s Main Focus: “Community Inputs & Feedback” Annual POA Dues As all of you know, we have limited funds to complete many of the much needed improvements to our roads, pool, clubhouse, etc. This Newsletter is seeking ideas and feedback from ALL of you so the BoD can make the best decisions on what to do if anything regarding future Annual POA dues. Annual Dues Fee Options – If you have others please send them to us!! These ideas are NOT in any special order right now…They are just ideas to get you thinking and to stimulate feedback:… Annual Dues View Point Our current POA dues have not seen an increase in years.. The annual dues are a very low $80.00 per year; that’s less than $0.22 cents per day. Current amount of revenue (dollars) generated by the current POA dues structure is grossly insufficient to maintain, let alone improve, our community. In order to make things better, ou POA dues are going to have to be increased in order to cover the expenses to support, and ultimately improve, our subdivision. So, please, get involved. Forward your ideas to the board, and be a part of making our community the best it can be. Blue Option:- $100 per year for each home you own that has less than 2 lots or $100 per year for 2 lots or less.. Additional costs to above as follows: $10 for 3-5 lots $20 for 6-10 lots $30 for 11-20 lots $40 for 20 or more lots Annual Dues Second Notices We plan to send these out within the next 30-45 days. Thanks to those that have already paid! We have collected approximately $9,000 since mailing out the first notice six weeks ago. Green Option:- $100.00 and for every additional lot you own you should pay $25.00 more per lot. UPDATE: Road repair #3 scheduled for 21 May is being cancelled due to lack of volunteers. If we get enough volunteers we will reschedule. Focus for next road repairs will be on South Contour, Hillside and Golf Roads. Repairs from round #1 and #2 have prevented further erosion that was occurring from the outside to inside of our roads. Easter Donation Thanks! The following companies and POA members donated items to support our Easter festivities.. AIA Insurance - $50 Wal-Mart Gift Card (GC) Bulverde Wal-Mart $25 GC Bulverde HEB $25 GC Bulverde Walgreen’s – Candy Thomas Stone – Candy China King –Gift Certificate for the pie contest Beefy’s on the Green – Gift What-a-Burger - GC Kids Prizes Certificate for the pie contest Sallie Lyons and Linda McWhorter – hide-n-seek eggs for the kids egg hunt Joe Owens – Easter Bunny Pam Sense for contacting .vendors and donation pickups Orange Option: One idea is to gradually increase the dues by a given percentage over a period of years to reach a set targeted amount. Burgandy Option: One idea is to gradually increase the dues by a given percentage over a period of years to reach a set targeted amount of $150.
