My Bacteria: Mastigophora Justin Kim AP Biology 2 My Bacteria: Mastigophora

Define: Mastigophora Group of Flagellates. (Whip-like Organisms) Unicellular. Kingdom Protista. (Eukaryotic) Can cause diseases. Reproduce by binary fusion. Can make their own food. Spends most their lifetime moving and feeding.

More about Mastigophora There are approximately 1,500 species of Mastigophora. Mainly live in fresh and marine waters. In addition to binary fusion, they can also reproduce sexually. The “Sleeping Sickness” is caused by Mastigophora.
