Mojave By Joshua  Madrigal

Location The Mojave live in the northeastern part of California. The  Mojave held lands along the river. The Mojave are  river YUMAN speakers whose traditio nal territory was  Centered  in the Mojave valley.

Shelter The homes of the Mojave tribe protected  t hemfrom the environment. The Mojave people built two  different types of houses. In the spring and summer when they were fishing near the Colorado riv er the homes  were raised on stilts.

Food The Mojave hunted and gathered their food. The Mojave believed in a spirit named MASTAMHO They planted the first crops.

Culture The culture of The Mojave tribe was amazing The Mojave  have always h ad a real sense of national IDENTITY. In the past Mojave villager s were  governed by a chief.
