Evaluation Purpose To determine the resources necessary to build an effective community coalition To validate partnership strategies as appropriate to reducing syphilis in the target population 2/19/2019

STD Free! Coalition Provides information and prevention education to all Davidson County communities in order to influence behavior resulting in the reduction of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). 2/19/2019

What challenges were encountered? Regarding the database tool: Needed advanced computer skills in ACCESS Dependence on others who had the geographical information systems program and other skills resulted in time management issues 2/19/2019

How did the evaluation help improve the program? Feedback provided information to strengthen the program weaknesses Program accountability was more effective and accurate Provided the criteria to promote the coalition and its vision 2/19/2019

What would you have done differently? Collaborate more with the research staff for statistical and analytical purposes Attend training sessions on quantitative analytical skills Pilot the program before complete implementation Developed a more structured evaluation process utilizing comprehensive research methodology 2/19/2019
