Exploring what I like about Me Self - Portraits: Exploring what I like about Me

Kehinde Wiley Wiley is from Los Angeles but lives in New York city. He is a contemporary artist that creates portraits. He recreates famous paintings with new people and new background decorations. He places patterns in to the background that represent the person in the artwork. His background patterns are decorative and fill up the entire backdrop. He is inspired by African textiles, Middle Eastern tiles, and Renaissance portraiture.
