The Holy Spirit is: NOT an ethereal influence NOT an inner sensation NOT a mystical force NOT an unknowable power NOT the might of the Almighty Father

The holy spirit is a divine being

The word “spirit” (pneuma) is used in different ways. Literally means “a breeze” or “breath” Context determines its usage “The pneuma blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the pneuma.” (John 3:8)

The word “spirit” (pneuma) is used in different ways. Pronouncement of God’s judgment (2 Thess. 2:8) Ministering angels (Heb. 1:14) Man’s spirit (Acts 7:59; Jam. 2:26) Capacity to perceive, feel, desire (Matt. 26:41) Disposition of character, attitude (1 Cor. 4:21; 2 Tim. 1:7) God’s spirit (John 4:24) Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 10-11, 13)

The Holy Spirit is a heavenly person with the personality of a being. He possesses characteristics of a person. Has a mind (Rom. 8:27) Loves (Rom. 15:30) Knows (1 Cor. 2:11) Has a will (1 Cor. 12:11)
