Lichtenberg Game Farm

The main farmstead has a pretty setting on a bluff overlooking the undulating plains to the south and a section of the Otavi highlands. It is surrounded by stands of large umbrella thorn trees.

Gross Ozombutu Farm The entire setup is functional, generously designed and pleasing to the eye. The main house is a four-bedroom dwelling with a large stoep and braai and the expansive view to the south onto the watering hole and the farm dam. The service buildings consist of two huge multi-functional sheds, EU approved taxidermy, workshops, vehicle storage and huge under roof space for baled hay. There are two large workers houses. The garden has a water-wise design and provides a small oasis for the residents. The lawns, citrus- and pawpaw trees round off the picture.

Farm The electricity supply is per three-phase NAMPOWER. A 2000m long airstrip on site is used to fly clients in and out. It needs grading. Trophy hunting of a wide selection of plains game. Except for the steep mountain areas, the entire farm is ring fenced with high quality state of the art game fencing. 84 hectares have been cleared for baling and planted with blue buffalo grass.

The current owners specialize in trophy hunting and game breeding on this property and their other properties. Game breeding in two specially constructed breeding camps equipped with electrified perimeter fencing has been taken to an entirely new level. Currently lechwe and kudu are being bred. 25 lechwe will be included in the sale also a breeding herd of 17 kudu cows that have been served pregnant from a 60” horned bull. There are also Damara dik dik, steenbuck, red duiker, klipspringer and grey duiker. The farm is currently registered as a hunting farm. Only stalking hunting and fair chase is allowed, no hunting from the vehicle at all. Hunting is done from several hunting lofts and hides spread over the farm.
