Visiting a Restaurant
We went there to see them making a certain sort of food We visited an Italian restaurant called Fusion in Stoulton I wonder what that was??
We met the Chef Felice Tocchini and his wife Fiorinda When we arrived they offered us a seat and we all settled very well and politely in the waiting area.
It was a very smart restaura nt We all had a drink and tried Some of the famous Dunk able biscuits. They were really nice but quite hard and crispy.
The restaurant was really smart and all the tables were laid up ready for customers. It was very light and looked a lovely place to have a meal in.
Felice showed us round his kitchen, the different areas and introduced us to his other chefs. He only has a little space to work in but they all work together when the orders for food come in.

When we were ready Felice showed us how to make pasta We had one large bowl of flour, some eggs and then we began putting them together.
Then came the hard work of kneading the dough. We all watched to see how he made it.
Then we all had a go at kneading the dough This makes the dough easy to stretch.
These were the equipment items needed for the day Then we had to do some more kneading with the dough. George helped by Fiorinda, Felices wife.
We put the dough through the pasta maker which made it very thin Now its Tagliatelle!

Finally we get to eat a lovely lunch made by Felice in his lovely restaurant I think everyon e enjoyed it What a successf ul day!
Felice gave us a pasta maker to bring to school for everyone to use and have a go at making some pasta. We have got to practice making pasta, so then we can invite Felice to come to our school and have a meal with us.
