TYPES OF GENDER MASCULINE COMMON NEUTRAL FEMININE

FEMININE A noun that denotes the female sex is said to be of the feminine gender. For ex. Woman, actress, queen, sister, aunt.

MASCULINE A noun that denotes the male sex is said to be of the masculine gender. For ex. man, actor, king, brother, uncle.

COMMON A noun that refers to a male or a female sex is said to be of the common gender. For ex. friend, student, parent, person, cousin, baby.

NEUTRAL A noun that denotes a lifeless thing is said to be of the neutral gender. For ex. Table, pen, room, house, box, pencil, knife etc.
