Bellringer—Answer Key Earth’s axis is tilted, so as we orbit the Sun, the angle of the sunlight hitting our planet changes throughout the year. In December, people in the Northern Hemisphere feel colder because they are tilted away from the Sun. At the same time, people in the Southern Hemisphere are tilted toward the Sun, making it warmer in that part of the world.

You can follow this link and login with Clever to see the same content we are about to view from home (or wherever you get internet access!) You need your handout titled “Student Practice Sheet: Maintaining a Formal Style.”

Quick Review… If you ask Mrs. Thomas how long your writing has to be, what will be her response? What are some MAJOR no-no’s to maintain formal style? Why is it important to maintain formal style? When responding to a persuasive writing prompt, what MUST you do?

When is this due? We are writing today. Tomorrow you will NOT have class time to work on your writing. Your essays are due when you take your semester exam next week. You CAN turn your writing in tomorrow, BUT you do NOT have to! If you have questions over the weekend, then you are (as ALWAYS) welcome to email me.
