PT2 – Brief Overview Performance Task 2 – Individual Research-Based Essay and Presentation Everyone will be given a set of stimulus materials representing a range of perspectives focused on a single theme. You will analyze the texts to develop a research question that connects at least two of them. You will then conduct research to select evidence to support an argument and present your conclusions. Individual Written Argument - 2000 words Individual Presentation and Defense – 6 to 8 minutes

PT2 – Brief Overview 1) Read and analyze the provided texts, searching for a theme that connects two or more of them. 2) Develop a research question based on the provided texts. 3) Conduct additional research on your question. 4) Based on your research, develop an argument in response to your research question and collect evidence to support your argument. 5) Write an essay explaining your argument and including supporting evidence. 6) Make a presentation to the class summarizing your argument with supporting evidence.
