Organic:  eating foods produced without synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers; foods that do not contain genetically modified organisms; and foods that are not processed using irradiation or chemical food additives.

Vegetarians: people who eat a plant-based diet (fruits and vegetables), with or without dairy products or eggs, and avoid eating meat.

Vegans: people who reject the use of animal products for any purpose and who eat only plant-based foods.

Carnivores: People who eat meat as a central part of their diet.

Omnivores: people who eat a wide variety of plants and animals.

Locavores: people who prefer to eat locally grown and produced food and avoid eating foods that have been transported over long distances.

Raw foodists: people who consume mostly uncooked, unprocessed, organic food.

Paleo Diet: Eating mainly fish, grass-fed pasture raised meats, vegetables, fruit, roots, and nuts. Avoiding grains, legumes, dairy products, salt, refined sugar, and processed oils.

Slow Food: An alternative to fast food, it strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds,and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem.
