August 2018 Dear Families, Hello! My name is Heather Wade and I am happy to be your child’s teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. I hope you have all had a wonderful summer!  We have a very exciting and busy year ahead of us, and I am looking forward to getting started in just a few weeks! I began my experience in the field of Special Education in 2001 as an Instructional Assistant for the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22. Since then, I've received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in the areas of Elementary Education and Special Education from Temple University in 2007, as well as a Master’s of Arts degree in Education from Gratz College in 2011. My teaching career began as an Autistic Support teacher for the Bucks County Intermediate Unit#22 and led into jump starting the Autistic Support Program for the Centennial School District in 2009. In 2010 I came to Council Rock as the Intermediate Life Skills Teacher and remained in that position until coming to Holland Elementary as the Primary Intensive Learning Support Teacher last year. I have gained so many wonderful experiences over the last 11 years of my career, and I am looking forward to making new memories and sharing new experiences with your child this school year. The first day of school is Tuesday, September 4,2018. We will be holding an Open House on Thursday, August 30th, between 12:00 and 2:30. I would love to meet you all, and hope you can all make it. More details and exact AM and PM times will be communicated via email. If you cannot attend the Open House, please let me know so we can arrange a separate time to meet prior to the first day of school! Also, our Back to School Night will be Wednesday, September 5th.
