What questions do you have about hurricanes? RULES FOR ASKING QUESTIONS Ask as many questions as you can Do not stop to discuss, judge, or answer any questions Write down every question exactly as it is stated Change any statement into a question

Open vs Close Questions A closed question can be answered with either a single word or a short phrase. They give you facts.  They are easy to answer. They are quick to answer. *Closed questions can begin with words like: do, would, are, will, if.  An open question is likely to receive a long answer and requires an explanation. They ask the respondent to think and reflect. They will give you opinions and feelings. *Open questions can begin with such as: what, why, how, describe. http://changingminds.org/techniques/questioning/open_closed_questions.htm
