Introduction May 10th May 13th May 15th The New Sigma Pump – SXCb
The New Sigma Pump Generation Sigma Control aSigma Control b
S1Ca to S1Cb mounting dimensions the same Pump liquid end centre lines the same S1Cb 41 mm taller S2Ca to S2Cb mounting dimensions are the same, there is a 14 mm difference in height between S2Ca and S2Cb due to the removal of the heat sink. For replacement of a S2Ca with a S2Cb in rigid pipe applications, a base plate S2Cb part # can be used to keep suction / discharge connections exactly the same. S2Cb 5 mm taller than S2Ca S3Ca to S3Cb mounting dimensions are the same. Pump liquid end centre lines the same S3Cb 3 mm taller SXCb to SXCa Dimensions
Timer version – still the “a” version used until later in 2013 CANbus version - still the “a” version used until later in 2013 Profibus version – already available from Nov 2012 for all 3 sizes Specific overpressure shutdown ( as per identcode ) will be later. Sigma HK version – no change to the “b” version will continue with the “ a “ version. Programming – new Kit with CANbus interface What is available, not available yet
Sigma – Technical features Monitoring of motion profiles – Like Delta Pump stop on high pressure overload. Energy saving of approx. 15% (average)
Design HMI- Connect
Standard application (with HMI) Project application (one for all-HMI) Customer-specific solution (without HMI) ( i.e. OEM application) Variations
Sigma new - HMI identcode
What‘s New ? Rotation sensor and motor control – the mechanical core of the new Sigma range Drive unit and liquid ends have been retained Frequency converter, hardware, software and user interface completely re-engineered
New Sigma - Differences to Sigma SXCa ( Mechanical, Electrical ) Protection class increased no Heat sink required. New: Cover and foot housing Frequency converter and vector control 2 cable connections with PG screw IP67 New: Removable HMI Profibus and relays based on delta with improved sockets
Sigma new - HMI / Removable Interface For Convenience Advantages / Features: F lexible pump installation Easy wall mount by integrated brackets Project-specific and customer-specific solutions possible Easy log-out and removal Version without HMI possible Easy extension with standard CAN cables Up to 370 m possible
New Sigma - HMI Cable Extensions To be ordered separately by part number (standard CAN connecting cable) Ordered via the identcode - included with the pump
New Sigma - Overload switch off via identcode – coming soon Identcode possibilities 0 - without overload switch-off 1 - with overload switch-off - 4 bar 2 - with overload switch-off - 7 bar 3 - with overload switch-off - 10 bar
Sigma S3Cb – Dosing Profile: Standard strokes 0 speed max > 45 strokes/min with frequency converter < 45 strokes/min with individual strokes Example: S3Cb , Internal frequency converter speed range 1:4
Sigma S3Cb – Dosing profile: Standard Discharge stroke - Examples: 180 strokes/min: Cycle = 330 ms Tdisch = 165 ms ; Tsuc = 165 ms 90 strokes/min: Cycle = 660 ms Tdisch = 330 ms ;Tsuc = 330 ms 45 strokes/min: Cycle = 1.32 s Tdisch = 666 ms ; Tsuc = 666 ms 30 strokes/min: Cycle = 2 s Tdisch = 666 ms; Tsuc = 666 ms; Tstop = s 10 strokes/min: Cycle = 6 s Tdisch = 666 ms ; Tsuc = 666 ms; Tstop = s Suction stroke Discharge stroke S3Cb ,
Comparison S3Ca / S3Cb – Dosing profile: Standard (S) S3Cb (S) 100 % (180 strokes/min) S3Cb (S ) S3Cb (S) S3Ca 10 % (18 strokes/min) 25 % (45 strokes/min) 1 stroke -> 330 ms
Dosing Profile - Suction Stroke Optimised Discharge stroke Suction stroke Typical applications -Dosing of viscous fluids -Reduction of NPSH r -value
Dosing Profile – Discharge Stroke Optimised Discharge stroke Suction stroke Typical applications -Reduces pulsation effect -Improved mixing when pump runs at lower speed
