How to write a movie review: 1) Opinion 2) Avoid Spoilers 3) Consider the story 4) Consider the acting 5) Consider the technical aspects

1) Opinion Give your opinion about the film. Were your disappointed? Why? Were you impressed? Why? Were you offended? Why?

2) Avoid Spoilers Before publishing or sharing your review, check that you have avoided spoilers

3) Consider the story Does the plot make sense? – Jupiter Ascending Is the plot drawn out with pointless information or scenes? – Jurassic World Are the characters’ actions consistent? Are the characters’ motives plausible? -

4) Consider the acting Was the acting good or poor? Did the screen play make the acting seem poor? If the acting was poor, could it have been the directing? If you were unimpressed by one of these, what could the actors, writers, or makers have done differently?

5) Technical aspects Cinematography (tone, setting, background, Editing (transitions, special effects) Lighting Set/Costume designs Sound Music Do these elements support or detract from the film?
